Call Center Agent - 200+ positions

- Work from home almost anywhere in the United States as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for a virtual call center
- Answer incoming telephone calls while using your computer to find information. Help customers resolve issues with the cellular phone bills, set up email accounts, surf the Web from the cell phones, or provide technical support for high-speed cable Internet connections.
- Work from 15-35 hours per week. Within this range, we give agents a fair amount of choice to decide the number of hours they prefer to work.
- NTI expects to pay an average wage of $9.40 per hour. this is a weighted average based upon a rate of $10 per hour for time actively taking calls and a rate of $7 for shift time not spent on the phone.
- Training hours will be paid at a rate of $7 per hour
- Work between 15 and 35 hours per week in 4-hour evening shifts starting as early as 5 p.m. or as late as 8 p.m. in the Eastern time zone. (Agents in different time zones must adjust their schedules to accommodate Eastern time zone start times. For example, an agent in California would start a 5 p.m. Eastern time zone shift at 2 p.m. Pacific time.)
Personal Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Technical skills (Computer literacy)
- Experienced in using a Windows-based personal computer
- Experienced in using the Internet
- Able to maintain your own computer equipment and both Internet and telephone connectivity
- Good verbal skills, including grammar and voice quality
- Able to multitask on a personal computer while conducting phone conversations
- Pass one or both of the following technical exams:
- Test One: General technical familiarity with cell phones, computers, and the Internet
- Test Two: In-depth familiarity with cable, DSL, and cell phone networks and equipment
- Pass a criminal background check
- Successfully complete training and attain required performance levels within a specified period of time
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Dependable
Job Performance Requirements
- Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment where calls are monitored, recorded, and assessed to see if you meet required performance levels
- Carry out several tasks at the same time:
- Conduct yourself and answer customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming telephone calls with little to no break in between calls
- Search for information or type documentation into web based computer programs while talking to customers on the phone
- Type 20 wpm
Equipment and Home Office Requirements
- NTI will provide each agent with a computer CPU, VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) telephone, telephone headset , and web camera (shipping of this equipment is to be paid by the employee through payroll deduction)
- The agent must provide and pay for:
- Computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse
- High-speed Internet access via cable or DSL. Not Acceptable: Dial-up, wireless, microwave, or satellite.
- Quiet and safe home office space. No background noise is permitted.
