Protection from DiscriminationSome potential landlords, just as some potential employers, may feel uneasy renting to persons with disabilities, fearing that they will have either scarce resources or unusual demands for service. You have a right to equal treatment under the law. Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and Title II of the ADA prohibit discrimination in the sale, rental, financing and other transactions related to housing.
