To Celebrate NDEAM, NTI's own Kathleen Cote writes Inspirational Poem
As part of October's National Disability Employment Awareness Month, (NDEAM), NTI and employees can participate in various activities such as mindfulness sessions, poster creation, and even a movie night for documentary films. Kathleen Cote, Candidate Experience Agent at NTI wrote a beautiful poem about what it means to be employed as a person with a disability. Her inspirational poem is called “I AM” and it signifies that people with disabilities can thrive in business and be a great asset to a company.
"I AM"
By Kathleen Cote
I AM DISABLED BUT I AM ABLE.
I AM WORTHY. I AM FIERCE.
I CAN WORK. I AM SELF-SUFFICIENT.
MY DISABILITY ALLOWS ME THE FREEDOM TO BE DIFFERENT.
I AM UNSTOPPABLE. I WILL SUCCEED.
I AM AN ASSET TO THE COMPANY I WORK FOR.
I HAVE A LOT TO OFFER MY EMPLOYER.
I LOVE WHO I AM.
I AM EMPOWERED. I AM INSPIRED.
I AM CAPABLE. I AM PART OF A TEAM.
I AM SMART. I AM HELPFUL.
I'M ALWAYS UP FOR A CHALLENGE.
I AM MOTIVATED. I HAVE POTENTIAL.
I AM EAGER TO LEARN.
I AM APPRECIATED. I AM GRATEFUL.
I AM LOVED. I HAVE SKILLS THAT ARE NEEDED.
I AM DRIVEN. I WORK HARD.
I GIVE 100% ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
I AM DEPENDABLE.
I AM INNOVATIVE AND CREATIVE.
I AM MOTIVATED.
I AM CONFIDENT.
I AM ME.
